Sakura Con 2007 - Mushishi group cosplay
Okay, so here's some of my favorite photos from our Mushishi cosplay at Sakura Con 2007. :) I didn't have the best camera, but I'm still waiting to see if any of the photos other people took of us came out better.
We had me as Ginko, marusaia as Adashino, my friend Carol as Sui, exdream1999 as Fuki (from "String to the Heavens"), and shibbyfangirl as Akoya (from "Those who Drink the Dew"). It's really hard to find the kind of plain, no-print-on-it kimono they have in the show, but I think we all knew the characters well enough that everyone pulled it off anyway. I'd have to say that our Adashino was spot on. :D
My favorite prop was my Watahiko bottle. :D

I was running out of ideas for poses, and it was tough thinking of poses between all these characters that didn't actually interact with each other much. ^o^;;; But we had fun using the stuff they had around the con area there. I was going for 'calling up the mugura mushi' here...
...XD I'm sorry. We just have this joke... It's... PIMP-MASTER!GINKO. ^o^;;;; Come on, you know it's canon.
...And a random yaoi-implications pose for Ginko and Adashino. God bless my boyfriend for putting up with this. XD (he was the photographer)
Fuki: *after drinking medicine* ...BLEGH. Ginko: Well, uh... deal with it?
And by request... :D And I approve of our character choices, having Ginko and Adashino doing Kyon and Itsuki, and then Sui as Yuki, and Akoya is not very much like Haruhi, but Fuki is kind of a Mikuru-ish ditz. :D
I had, had, HAD to do this. We were walking around downtown, and I just so happened to spot a GAP store, and I wanted to bring my fanart I did to life. :P
Ah yes, Adashino and his new pet, Watahiko. XD I'm going to send this to Mise-san, who's a Japanese Mushishi fanartist who is obsessed with Watahiko. :)
Ah, and just to finish up, this is shibbyfangirl and exdream1999 dressed as Witch Hunter Robin and Mai (Mai HiME) respectively, and Ginko!me. They were like, "neko pose!!", and I was like, "...Ginko neko pose...?" 0_0 I think it came out in-character. XD As much as it could have, anyway...
