I AM GOING TO TALK ABOUT VIOLINS *gasp!* I remember sunjuju  saying they were interesting, so here we go kids~!

Basically, I have it in my head. I love it. It's bloody insane but fantastic as well and pretty much kicks anyone that says "classical" music is boring ;D.

I had to play this last year and hated it indefinitely cause it was HORRIBLE and made NO SENSE and was HARD and AWFUL and GENERALLY NOT NICE :(. Then, the week before the concert I listened to it constantly cause I was too lazy to practice and realised what it was MEANT to sound like and suddenly started liking it. Basically, I think everyone should listen to it, it's far too exciting to miss :3. Oh yeah, our quartet realised we were too shit and terrified and decided not to play it in the concert so crisis was averted XD.

It's the 2nd of 4 movements and tbh, probably doesn't make any sense without the movements either side. (BUT I LIKE THIS ONE).

What  I think's interesting is that the 4 notes that are in the main theme which is repeated throughout the piece are the notes DSCH (The German scale has weird names for #s and flats...). And this spells D. SCH which writes the composer's name -Dimitri Schostakovich. Bach did a similar thing (and I can't remember WHICH Bach), but one of them died after starting a new piece of which the first 4 notes were BACH.

Have and enjoy my music trivia XD! But I think it's really cool that he composed the whole piece around with his name :D I mean, it's not the sort of piece you tend to just find on your own otherwise x_x, but I love it!! <3

Tell me if you hate it too, I mean, I did too! 8D
