Ah, yes.

The Star Spirits live up in the sky and, if people wish for things upon the stars, they might grant it.

They don't grant everyone's wishes just because though. The person needs to deserve it.

Sounds pretty okay. I mean, nothin' in life jus' kind a' drops into y'lap. Well, maybe sometimes, but it don' happen often. Y'gotta work for whatchya want.

This is true. The Star Spirits not only rely on people's fate on them, but they also need the person to be pure at heart and they need to show they are working to achieve what they want, then they help by making things 'easier', somewhow. [Even though Peach witnessed the Star Spirits working with her very own eyes, their powers are still pretty mysterious.]

And, well, as long as nobody steals the Star Rod [Again...], everything will be just fine.

What's a Star Rod?

Ah, the Star Rod is what the Star Spirits use to grant people's wishes. They are quite powerful on their on, but the Star Rod is what really makes things happen.
