I'm perpetually behind, and I didn't even realize that the Times had done the Museum special. Even though I get an email of the Times headlines every day, they didn't mention the special. And now that they're going to charge for access, the Times is pretty much over for me as a source. OTOH, if you post links here, those can be accessed free - we won't be able to get to the Times through the Times, but through links. Go figure. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
More specifically - there wasn't much new for me in these articles. I was writing papers about using social media 3 or more years ago, so it's old news. We started a Twitter feed yesterday, but it wasn't inspired by the Times, which we hadn't seen. (One of the fundamentals of social media is don't start it of there isn't someone who is committed to keeping it fresh and engaging. Someone finally stepped forward.) OTOH, I did enjoy the article on hybrid-niche museums, since that's what we're starting. Oh, and you can follow us on Twitter at Digital Game Museum @DGMsv .
