"Lily, take Harry and go! It's him! Go! Run! I'll hold him off!" It sounds like James, voice deeper, older, but still like the young teenager that Facility is familiar with. The words still are muffled as if whomever hears them isn't quite awake yet, screen dark though shadows move across it as if it's light outside still.
Footsteps - frantic and stumbling - get closer and there's a loud noise, a scream from James, then sure footsteps heading your way. There's the feeling of being lifted, the world straightens and eyes open just a little bit, fuzzy with sleep. There's a glimpse of a woman with long redhair, easily identified as the older Lily newly come. Seconds later the door bursts open and arms tighten around who can only be baby Harry Potter. "Not Harry, not Harry, please not Harry!"
She's scared, horrified, and yet still holds her ground for her young son as the intruder speaks, "Stand aside you silly girl... Stand aside now."
Suddenly down again, in the crib and eyes look up to the ceiling, watching Lily unknowing of the danger as she puts herself between him and Voldemort. "Not Harry, please no, take me, kill me instead!"
A garbled word too difficult for a young child's ears to make out and a flash of green light hits Lily. A green light that repeats itself only closer, too close, and the child squeals in pain that comes from Harry's forehead accompanied by a cold, cruel laugh.
