✑Ten Facts
✑Took up fencing and actually enjoys the sport, even if Kanda calls it a sissy sport. He's rather good at it and still practices almost daily if he can.
✑Covered up his eye ever since he started getting migraines, it helped quiet them down to normal headaches.
✑There are times when Tettsui doesn't listen to him and Lavi has problems fighting the Akuma. But they somehow still listen to him to hold off on attacking, those mental thoughts of "Shitshitshit. Waitaminute!"
✑Lavi's starting to get suspicious of this and is starting to test it each time he's alone and fighting Akuma.
✑Can't remember his real name (Eloi), his parents, or anything from his childhood. Truly a mystery like he's supposed to be.
✑His scars ache a lot, the ones cutting right across his chest from where he was stabbed with Allen's sword. But he doesn't blame Allen for it, has done a real good job of hiding the pain as well.
✑The fun-loving guy is more of a front than it should be, he doesn't want to get close to anyone despite Joyd trying to make him get close.
✑Not sure which Memory he's got shoved in his head quite yet since he hasn't had a quiet moment to meditate and dig into the problem. But he's automatically crossed out Bonds, doesn't think it was Skinn's Memory either.
✑Doesn't stay in the Order very long when they go back to it, for some reason it makes his skin crawl in a major way. Goes camping or stays in a hotel when they're in the city after checking in.
✑Touches things more than once to reassure himself that they're there, or perhaps that he's just somewhat gone through and is making sure he's still solid. Connecting it all together slowly.
✒Very frustrated that he can't exert more influence on Lavi because of the Bookman training so he takes advantage of every opening he can get into.
✒Takes pleasure in making his host freak out at not being solid sometimes, he still has control over that for right now and doing it randomly is fun.
✒Pissed that Lavi doesn't have the Tease too but the most he can do to make up for this is have the things listen to him when they're within a certain distance. Just like the Akuma.
✒While the half that Lavi has couldn't care less about Tyki, Joyd refuses to see his redheaded host killed - and is sure that the half in Tyki is the same way - and yanks him out of danger just in time. When he can.
✒It's more out of self-preservation than any caring for his host. Could care less about Lavi if he could, but he'd rather his hosts be in good health and able to do things on their own so they can "pleasure" themselves with Choice.
✒Mostly attempts to gain control while Lavi's asleep, so far this isn't working for him very well but he's "gaining ground" every night since the Ark.
✒So far he hasn't been able to get Lavi to pick up a vice like smoking, drinking, or whoring but he figures it's best to pressure him into picking up smoking if anything. Seeing as he already has the influence from Bookman's smoking.
✒Also has a habit of trying to get Lavi to change his daily attire just a little bit. One week it was getting him to go without the headband, another spent successfully having the Bookman's hair up in a ponytail.
✒Likes puzzles. A lot. Jigsaw, word, rubix cubes...you give him one and he's occupied for ten forevers or however long it takes him to do the puzzle. Lavi doesn't even notice him influencing this pleasure trigger because he likes them too.
✒In rare moments of absolute quiet in the Bookman's head, Joyd will start humming. No particular song but one he's heard in passing way before a Bookman's recollections. It freaks Lavi out because he thinks he's got Fourteenth in his head too or something.
✑Is a bit OCD and likes having things neat or in order anywhere he goes, it's mostly the extent of it. Though there are times where he washes his hands, body, or hair excessively; he tries not to do the last too much because then lice become a problem.
✑Loves to play scrabble, it's his most favorite game in the world. But no one will play with him because he keeps using words that no one is sure of being words or makes obnoxiously long ones that don't fit on the board. No one has introduced him to bananagrams just yet, though. Thank god.
✑Pretty damn selfless, he doesn't mind giving things up just so that others can have them. His thought is that he doesn't really deserve to have or experience it in the first place what with being a recorder. Let everyone else enjoy all life has to offer. This erks Joyd to no end, by the way.
✑Doesn't mind heights very much, they don't bother him. But the idea of falling isn't something that he likes, it wracks his nerves.
✑Fears that blood and screaming will wake Joyd and most of the time it does. So far it hasn't enticed him to take control but Lavi doesn't want to chance it.
✑Switches between normal - happy-go-lucky, prankster, ray of sun - and submissive in a short amount of time if threatened but this won't occur in a fight.
✑Hasn't called up his hammer since it went crystal, in fact the scars on his wrists itch and ache constantly.
✑Has started smoking due to the stress of things in the DR though so far he's managed to keep it to only two smokes a day.
✑Practicing his fencing more and more, it's the only thing that feels normal lately for him. Could probably hold his own against Kanda now.
✑Doesn't like taking any medication for his pain, if you're going to be stupid you had better be tough. And he was stupid.
✒LOVES listening to music that's come up through the centuries. Has to say that his favorites are from the 50s. Hands down.
✒He loves to toy with the friends that Lavi has made since joining the Order. And a lot of times that means giving them hints that he (Lavi) has feelings for them in a way that isn't friendship.
✒That said, Joyd has made the redhead very selfish of his friends. And they're his (Joyd). His possessions and he's not going to give any of them up, any damage and he's growling to return tenfold on whoever or whatever did it.
✒Likes to hum as he walks down the halls, he's always humming the songs that he learns and doesn't think it Fourteenth-ish in the slightest.
✒Doesn't take a hand in anything that the Earl puts together, refuses to do anything with the family unless he wants to. Unless there's some kind of outcome that he likes, that benefits him.
✒Real relationships scare him, mostly the reason behind his running away from Kanda (stainedlotus) after that week of "marital bliss" was over with. He doesn't know what to do with them, putting someone else before him, asking permission... Not something he wants. Or so he thinks.

And if in the long run that meant him leaving the Order and dealing with his Noah (much like Allen) he would. In the DR he doesn't have as many friends, isn't as close to them as he'd like, but he feels that keeping his distance is keeping them safe. Joyd won't want to mess with them if he doesn't think Eloi has an attachment to them. Still, he doesn't want to be alone. So he keeps seeking people out, seeing if he can find someone he can care about that Joyd won't try to manipulate or hurt.
