"You're sure you still want to do this, Neah?" Allen crawled up on the bed beside the older man, their bare bodies just barely touching as he settled down. It was the first night, almost five since their talk in the warehouse though they had met every night to arrange things around the young vampire's hunting.
"Would we have gotten this far if I wasn't sure?" Neah smiled at him reassuringly and lightly stroked Allen's hair, who leaned into the brief touch before Neah pulled his hand away to slick it up with oil for after the feeding. "Though we certainly don't have to start right away, either. Come here."
He felt a hand on his waist, pulling him so that Allen was now straddling the older man. "There now, this is much easier, don't you think?"
Allen flushed a little, determined to keep his weight off of Neah, "Is it necessary?"
Neah hummed thoughtfully, "Like I said, Allen. It's easier for doing what I need to while you're feeding. That way we can jump right into things." He chuckled as Allen blushed more and finally let his weight settle.
"If you're sure..." Another hum and Neah brought his clean hand up behind Allen's head, lightly tugging the vampire down so that their noses were almost touching.
"I am very sure, Allen. If I didn't know any better I'd say you were delaying things." Flustered and plans exposed Allen tried to deny this but was actually caught off guard for once as Neah tugged him the rest of the way in, kissing him hard. Allen gasped without needing to, the reaction to the sudden kiss still so programmed in his mind, but he slowly caught up to it all. At least until Neah ran his tongue over one of Allen's fangs, Allen growled and shivered hard, pushing into the kiss in a renewed frenzy. He barely heard Neah chuckle or felt the hand slick with oil slide over his butt, but he did catch the way Neah's heart sped up. And it made his teeth ache to the point he couldn't stand it, knowing that he was allowed to feed without worry, his restraint was only so strong.
Allen pulled away from the kiss, hearing Neah's lungs fill with fresh air and for a brief moment felt bad for forgetting that his partner was only human, then the urge to feed swept over him again and Allen didn't care. Nose pressed against Neah's throat he sought out a good and strong vein while the other tilted his head back to give him room. It only took a few seconds to lick the place that he had found, numbing it from the pain that was about to come and then his teeth sank in. Neah gasped above him, probably from the pressure, all Allen was concentrating on was the blood pouring down his throat - warm and so delicious, the best he had had since turning - and Neah's heartbeat. It was still pounding and both the blood and his heart distracted the vampire from a pressure at his back, yet his body reacted for him, a groan and he squirmed, careful not to move his head from Neah's neck.
All too soon he heard signs of the body slowing down and reluctantly pulled away, closing the marks with a few more licks, it was the least he could do for Neah, that much restraint he had now. There was something different about the older man's blood that didn't quite taste the same as a normal human's might, perhaps it was whatever was killing him, Allen didn't know. Didn't care at the moment. He was hot and wanted a release of a different kind so he didn't fight it at all when Neah rolled over, flipping their positions with another kiss.

For almost two weeks the arrangement between the two of them continued, it was the longest Allen had stayed in any place without his sire by his side. During the daylight hours he lay in one of the window offices on the bed he had helped Neah bring in, covered in the blankets for added protection. Sleepily he knew that Neah didn't go far himself, resting and regaining his strength somewhere else in the warehouse. Losing so much blood every other night wasn't healthy for anyone, but Allen knew that the other's remaining time was short and did not say no when Neah walked into Allen's room.
During the nights when there was just rest the two would share stories, things they had heard or experienced. Or it was piano lessons, Neah teaching Allen that familiar little tune that had brought them together. As time went on the vampire felt a sort of kinship growing with Neah, they had both lost their families at an early age, barely remembering them. But it all came to an end just as their third week with the arrangement began.
"Tonight's the end, Allen," Neah spoke softly as he threaded his fingers through the white strands of the vampire's hair. Stomach full Allen opened his eyes, the gold in them so pale it was almost yellow, just giving the older man a confused noise through the haze of sleep that was beginning to overcome him with the dawn. Neah chuckled and leaned back against the pillow, "I'll be gone by next week I'm sure and my memories are all passed onto you. I would stick around until the end but..." He trailed off, looking at the wall shrouded in darkness.
"You don't want me to see you die, I know..." Allen sleepily pulled himself up, wrapping his arms around Neah, head settling on his shoulder. "Stay with me today?" Neah nodded and turned his head toward Allen, smiling just as he had all this time.
"I'm glad I got to find you before it was time for me to go. Sleep now." As if it were a command the vampire's eyes fell, heavy already with sleep.
Dawn had come, followed by the morning, high noon, afternoon, dusk...
Yet when Allen opened his eyes the bed that had been warm in the morning was now long cold, he was covered head to toe with blankets to shield him from the sun. But Neah was gone, gone from the warehouse, gone from the abandoned area. Allen slowly got dressed, feeling rather put out by it all, and made his way to the upright piano.
There on the bench was a little round ball, gold in color, and as he got closer he could tell it had a lion's tail and wings, a cross design on the face. It was sitting on a letter and actually moved off by itself when Allen made to pick it up. He stared a moment longer at the golden thing and then picked up the letter from Neah.
"...something came up and I had to leave... I'm sorry, Allen... ...I wanted to give you Timcanpy before I left... ...Take care of each other..."
Allen crumpled up the letter and looked down at the ball - no, a golem - and smiled weakly. "Hello Timcanpy, I'm Allen."
Tim flew up into the air and landed on Allen's shoulder, rubbing his body against the vampire's cheek in greeting. Allen laughed and lightly petted Tim on what he supposed was the golem's head, "Nice to meet you too."
