Reading Wednesday:
What I've just finished
Technically, I didn't finish Bellevue: Three Centuries of Medicine and Mayhem at America's Most Storied Hospital by David M. Oshinsky, I only got about halfway through, but it was due back at the library and you can't just renew ebooks for some reason (I don't blame the library; I'm sure the publisher is at fault somehow for how the licenses work). So I'll put myself back on the hold list at some point so I can finish it. But what I did read was fascinating. Definitely recommended if you like history and don't mind gross medical details.
I also sent The Nix back unread, because I started it and was like, ugh, I don't want to submerse myself with this dude for the time I have left before this too has to go back to the library, because ugh. Maybe it gets better? Maybe his mother actually eventually gets a POV chapter? But given the couple of chapters I read, I didn't really feature hanging around to see if that happened.
What I'm reading now
A Trifle Dead (Cafe La Femme, #1) by Livia Day, a fluffy cozy mystery set in Australia, which I'm thoroughly enjoying.
What I'm reading next
Probably the next two books in the Cafe La Femme series. *g*
