Monday morning afternoon miscellany, trying to focus on the small and fannish since anything larger than that is terrifying:
= This morning, the bus didn't pull into the bus stop, but it had to stop at a red light, so we all converged on the door, which didn't open, and in fact, played the "Please step away from the door" recording repeatedly. So I banged on the doors and the bus driver opened them to ask "What do you want me to do?" And I was like, "Um, let us on the bus?" as I boarded, swiped my Metrocard, and thanked him. I mean, I do have manners. All the elderly people seats were available, and I got a seat in back, so I don't know what the purpose of skipping our stop was. It's a crosstown bus! It always makes all the stops! We're only the third stop from the start of the route. What the dickens?!
= I didn't get MS Office this time around when I bought my new laptop, so I've just been using Pages, which is fine in and of itself - I mean, it's terrible with autocorrect, but that can be managed - but it doesn't do word count in a way that works for me easily, so I've been c&p'ing into gdocs but that word count doesn't match Word (at work) or AO3 word counts. I don't understand why it's so difficult to just standardize across platforms and programs how to count words with em dashes, which I think is the main thing that throws everything off. *hands*
= I failed completely at the three sentence writing meme on Tumblr last week (I still have the asks! I may write something eventually!), but here is another meme:
