As usual, the best part of this episode was Garnet. Other than that, I don't have much to say. I think the idea that sometimes you just have to live with the sadness is a good one, and a strong follow up to "Mindful Education," but since I don't really care about Mr. Smiley or Mr. Frowney, I am mostly indifferent to their relationship problems.
In other TV news, everything I've seen about Luke Cage is making me excited! And I think regardless of how good the show is, the soundtrack is going to be AMAZING. I really liked this Street Level Hero Music video they put out, especially Method Man geeking out. <333
After work today (our last summer Friday *sobs*), I have an optometrist appointment, since the other day I noticed that the bottom frame of my glasses has begun to split and warp. This is bad! I don't want to be on the subway and suddenly have a lens pop out! Though I really like these frames so I will probably just get the same thing again, though possibly this time with transition lenses so I don't have to worry about sunglasses at all. (I do have prescription sunglasses, but since I moved to progressive lenses on my regular glasses, switching between them has been a little weird and nausea-inducing.) Anyway, it's been almost three years since I got these glasses (I think it was December of 2013? right after I had that issue with abrasions on my cornea and gave up wearing contacts), which is less of a lifespan than I'd like, but I guess you can't have everything.
At least it's a three-day weekend, even if we may be getting a tropical storm on Sunday.
