there's got to be some kind of answer

Yesterday, I notarized some documents for one of my co-workers so she could become a minister in order to officiate at her daughter's wedding (I was going to say "so she could marry her daughter" but I know how you lot would take that), and today she showed me her certificate of ordination (or whatever it's actually called) plus she gets a "minister" parking tag - I don't know if being a minister gets you out of parking tickets but it's hilarious to me that they include it in the package.

That was quite an exciting game last night! They needed the win, though, especially after the bad news about Harvey needing surgery. At least it doesn't seem to be his elbow this time? And also it's not the yips? It's something that can be fixed, anyway, even if he never comes back as the ace he was.

I can't talk about real world stuff. It's too horrifying and big. I just can't. What the hell, world? Can we just cancel 2016 and start over?

In other news, since right now it looks like I won't need to move this fall, I can probably swing buying a new laptop. The question: should I get a MacBook Pro like I have now, or should I go with the MacBook Air? All I use it for is the internet and writing, so I don't know that I need the Pro? But the one I have now has been a workhorse. It's almost 6.5 years old and it's definitely starting to show its age - the trackpad is barely clickable (no doubt the battery has swollen) and it's definitely a lot more prone to showing me the spinny beach ball then it used to be - but I've never had the kinds of issues with it I'd had with PC laptops in the past, none of which lasted more than 4 years. I understand the variety of reasons people don't switch, but I don't think I could go back.

I'm just trying to decide between less money and more money right now. Though the fact that the Air doesn't seem to have the retina display is a disappointment, I'm not sure it's worth going with the heavier and more expensive machine.

Anyone got any useful opinions?
