and now i know how joan of arc felt

I know you were all waiting with bated breath, but after a few near disasters, the event went off spectacularly last night. Everyone was pleased, which is the most important part. My feet still hurt and I feel like I'm hungover, but I went in late this morning and left early (boss1 called and was like, "You should leave at noon! I should have told you to stay home today!" but stayed until 2:30, which is when we close on summer Fridays, and I got some things done so that was fine). I'll probably post more in detail under f-lock over the weekend, but I'm so glad it's all over except the wrapping up.

In much more interesting news, Tyler Hoechlin has been cast as Superman in Supergirl! I think he could fit in really well and also be a soft bro version of Superman in counterpoint to whatever the hell is happening in the DC movies.

And this article makes a brilliant and strong case for Hoechlin's Clark to be a bearded Clark. I agree 100%! I think most of the times Clark's canonically had a beard, it's been because he's lost his powers? I'm not sure what the connection is, unless it's that he doesn't have heat vision when he doesn't have his powers and thus can't shave using it? Idek, and I don't care. I just think it'd be a shame to make the guy shave. *g* I'm so into the idea of soft bro Clark now, I can't even tell you.
