stars can be liars too

Legends of Tomorrow
Can this show just be Captain Cold, Heatwave, and Sara traveling around, stealing shit and beating people up? Because I enjoy that a lot. Victor Garber and Brandon Routh can recur. I don't feel like anything else is necessary to make an entertaining show. I'd be happy they killed Hawkman, because ugh, Hawkman, but between reincarnation and time travel, I'm sure we're not shed of him. I did like that Kendra was basically wearing JLU-Shayera's post-Starcrossed outfit as her regular clothes though.

The 100
MONTY! Oh man, what terrible, terrible thing did his dad do to warrant that "died saving little kids" story? And Pike is a sign that the Farm Station folks are going to have a problem allying with Trikru, huh? Hopefully Miller's boyfriend is someone who survived, though I was kind of low-key shipping Miller/Monty last season.

Meanwhile, Bellamy continues to have good intentions and poor decision-making skills. He really needs Clarke's hands on the wheel to be effective. (I don't ship them? But I don't not ship them? I find their relationship most interesting when she's the leader and he's her right-hand man.) I felt for him, though, because since she took off, he's had to hold it together after what happened at Mount Weather, and nobody should have to carry that alone.

I also love that Clarke won't go quietly for her own sake, but she'll beg for mercy for Bellamy. And then her reunion with Lexa. Holy crap. AND THEN THAT TOWER WTF.

Roan, banished prince of the Ice Nation! He must capture Wanheda to restore his honor! "It's time we had a talk...about your hair! It's gone too far!" Man, everybody wants a Zuko, but so few stories actually achieve one. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. (...can there also be an Azula? I love Azula.) Especially given his age, this means the Ice Queen must be a woman of a certain age and I can't wait to meet her. (I don't know who they've cast - and I don't really want to know? - but I hope it's someone I can believe has sat a horse and used a sword and killed her way through the post-apocalypse. I am just saying.)

So Indra went with Kane et al to make sure that they didn't interfere with Roan taking Clarke back to Lexa?

Should we start a death clock for Lincoln, since he's been cast as the lead in "American Gods" (please don't suck!)? Or will that be a limited run series, so he can still appear here? Either way, I like that he's become Abby's Grounder adviser, and that Nyko came back. I really like how this show uses background characters and how they recur - it makes the world feel lived in.

Emori makes Murphy more interesting, so I'm enjoying them, but I could do without Jaha and the City of Light and its Cylon/Matrix virtual life thing. I'm much more interested in Grounder/Skycrew politics than this, so hopefully the two storylines will intersect soon.

In other news, writing is hard! I know, I know, it's like water is wet. But I feel the need to say it every once in a while.
