you look so fancy, i can tell

So I did in fact read Batman and Robin Eternal 1 and 2 yesterday, and it is indeed canon that Steph, upon seeing Dick do flips and shit, calls him, "SEXY BATMAN." (I don't know why I put that behind a cut yesterday, as it was definitely meant as an enticement, or at least a conversation starter.) As someone who ships them, I am replete.

And also, Cass and Jason do meet! He's holding her a gunpoint, but he hasn't shot her yet, so I'd say that's not quite as awful as he could be on first meeting? I'm still so sad there's no AU where they're twins who were separated at birth who meet again years later in Gotham City. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO WRITE ME THAT.

Anyway. If, like me, you find you can reconcile yourself to the stupid differences imposed by the reboot, you can get some sweet Batkids interaction in this book, despite the fact that the plot, like the timeline, likely makes no sense.

Speaking of things that make no sense! Arrow: The Candidate
While I'm sad Jeri Ryan isn't sticking around for more than one episode, I am SUPER EXCITED for Mayoral Candidate Oliver Queen. GIVE ME ALL YOUR WEST-WING-ESQUE OLICITY WALK AND TALKS. WITH FERNS AND PACKED LUNCHES. OH HEART.

Also, Mr. Terrific shows up at Palmer Technologies and he's a cutie. I don't know why Felicity didn't have her brainstorm at the first meeting, but whatever, I don't care about corporate shenanigans that much.

Also, also, CO-STARRING THEA QUEEN AS YOUR CURRENT RED HOOD. HA. That scene where she breaks that dude's arm was RIGHT OUT of UtRH. Though seriously, Ollie and Diggle are killing people left and and right, so it's kind of ridiculous to see Oliver get down on Thea for it.

Laurel, meanwhile, completely disregards everything Oliver tells them about the effects of the Pit to dig up Sara. Which. I did not expect there to actually be a desiccated corpse in that coffin! I did not need to see that!

Re: the flashbacks and Lian Yu, WHEN DO WE GET TO THE FIREWORKS FACTORY RUSSIAN MAFIA?

So I enjoyed that in all its Arrow-esque ridiculousness.

Star Wars Rebels: The Lost Commanders
I find it hard to believe the clones were all decommissioned at the same time. Don't you need some old experienced soldiers in your ranks? Whatever, show!

I'm also guessing Hera couldn't go with them because she would easily counterbalance Kanan's (rightful) suspicions, even though we the audience know that Rex, at least, is okay. Though man, this show does know how to twist the knife. "We didn't betray our Jedi." No, Rex, you didn't, but your Jedi betrayed everyone else. Sigh. I hope they're not going to deny me my Rex-Ahsoka reunion. Though knowing Dave Filoni, it'll happen in the most painful way possible. Sigh.

Tonight, game 5! I'm actually wearing orange and blue today (well, I'm wearing an orange sweater and the navy blue cardigan I keep at my desk at work because it's freezing in here). I'm not a huge fan of the color combo - it means 'Islanders' to me more than 'Mets' and the less said about that the better (the Mets' colors are Dodger blue and Giants orange, though I've also heard blue and orange are NYS colors, hence the Knicks and Islanders using them) - but I figure either the Mets win and I'm elated, or they lose and I don't have to fall any further behind on my tv-watching. *hands*
