to come out from under the covers

Sep 08, 2015 10:06

Last night, I knocked my glasses off the nightstand and had to hunt around for them. Luckily, I still had a pair of old glasses that I could wear because otherwise, I'd have never found them. I don't even know how they ended up where they did, but it was not a fun way to cap off the weekend.

TV shows will start premiering soon, so here is my usual fall TV post:

Sunday:
Returning:
Football - The NFL is awful and the Giants look terrible but I will probably still watch.

Brooklyn Nine Nine - I'm excited to see what they do with Holt (and Gina!) in his new role and how long they stretch that out before the bring him back to the 99.

The Good Wife - I will probably get sucked back in, since it's the last season, but nothing I've heard about it is making it sound good.

New:
Quantico - Maybe? It looks like it has a lot of ladies in it.

Monday:
Returning:
Jane the Virgin - I really hope this show can maintain the high level of awesome it had in season 1.

New:
Supergirl - please don't suck! You look like you could be a lot of fun!

Minority Report - Maybe? Though it conflicts with Jane the Virgin, so I'll probably wait till I hear what people are saying.

Blindspot - this is the Jaimie Alexander Memento-like show that is getting good buzz, so I'll probably check it out.

Tuesday:
Returning:
The Flash - Now that they've hopefully fixed the treatment of Iris and made her part of the team, I have high hopes that season 2 will be as mostly awesome as season 1 was.

iZombie - Super stoked to see how they play out the consequences of that season finale. I did not expect this show to be as engaging as it is, and I am totally shipping Ravi/Liv(/Major).

New:
The Muppets - I can't believe Kermit and Piggy broke up! Animal is willing to go full-frontal if it's tasteful! I feel like this is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Wednesday:
Returning:
Arrow - let's hope they've worked out some of the kinks that made season 3 such a mess. I'm excited to see Thea as Red Arrow, and hopefully Oliver will slap a "Green" in front of his own codename. Also, hopefully they won't pointlessly break Oliver and Felicity up for stupid reasons.

Star Wars Rebels - ♥Ahsoka♥! ♥Hera♥! SMG playing someone! Rex! Hondo! James Earl Jones voicing Vader! I am excite!

Thursday:
Returning:
Sleepy Hollow - oh show, you seemed to finally get back on track in the season finale, but news over the summer has not been promising. Have you learned nothing from the disaster of season 2? Just let Abbie, Ichabod and Jenny solve supernatural mysteries! Stop adding random (white) characters nobody cares about.

Friday & Saturday:
Nothing that I know of, though wasn't Elementary moved to Fridays? Or am I imagining that?

Anyway, there are other shows I plan to watch - the aforementioned Elementary, The 100, Steven Universe, Legends of Tomorrow - but they weren't listed on any of the schedules I found online. And of course, s2 of Agent Carter when it returns, plus Jessica Jones whenever it pops up on Netflix.

I still want to catch up on that Killjoys show all y'all are talking about, but I haven't found the time yet.

What am I missing? What will you be watching?
