I seem to have booked every Saturday in July except tomorrow with social things, including separate yet back-to-back trips out to the island (well, one's on a Friday). It's been a while since that happened. It's because it's my birthday month and also summer. I love summer. I should have Sundays to recover, though

I feel a lot more intimidated by writing now than I did five or even ten years ago, and it certainly makes writing harder.

Me too and I have no idea why that is.

Yeah, I don't know if it's because of the changes in fandom or if I just am much more aware of my own limitations or some combination of those and other things.

It's definitely a combination. The more you write (and read) the more you think- wow, I could do better. And it really is like writing in a vacuum these days.
