I got my period yesterday and it was one of those times where it felt like my ability to think had ground to a halt. Just a really bad case of the dumb. Today I feel so much more alert and able to function.

I did manage to write a cute little Arrow story though:

I don't mind having Reyes around if Irving is where he is; we do need the sheriff's department to have a figurehead person to help/hinder Abbie. And I can kind of see the narrative point of having someone in the world who has a lot of connection to artifacts beyond Jenny, but why isn't Jenny still the point person on that instead of it being Abbie going to Hawley? I know that Irving is by definition cut off from the rest of the cast by being locked away, but why do that to him if you aren't going to use him more where he is? We're enough episodes in by now that I feel like this is the dynamic they're going for. I don't understand it any more than I understand why Katrina wears her hair down despite being a married woman; it just doesn't make sense to me.

And yet... Abbie and Ichabod, man. I don't even 'ship them romantically; I just love them to pieces together.

(Sorry to keep talking to you about it if you feel you've said enough. I just... I want it to be better, like you say. It's not bad, but it could be incredible. I see its potential!)

I agree with all your questions. I feel like they had a really good thing going and haven't really capitalized on it the way they could have. I still enjoy the show, but I just keep thinking it was better when Jenny and Irving were involved in the action.
