There have been mice in my building recently - I've seen people put it on the signup sheet for the exterminator, and then a couple days ago, I lost a loaf of bread and some cookies and other food to the gross gnawing. So after I cleaned that up, I picked up some plastic and glass canisters (why does that not have two Ns? It feels like it should), and this morning I got rid of everything that hadn't been protected, so hopefully they will find slim pickings here.
I also ended up going to get more glass bottles for my infused vodka experiments (more people on the gift list will be getting them, if everything goes to plan), and also four shot glasses, since the taste testing is tomorrow. The shot glasses were on sale for 99 cents at CB2, and as I was leaving, they asked me to take a survey for five minutes and either a $10 gift card or $10 in cash, so I ended up netting $5.68 on that whole deal.

This morning,
angelgazing and I were talking about how both "Wonderland" and "Out of the Woods" by Taylor Swift would make excellent Steve/Bucky vids. I told her I would throw it out to the universe and see what came back, so, if you find that inspiring at all, please link us when you're done!
Also speaking of vids, I had this open in a tab forever, and this morning I finally watched it and I've been kicking myself for not watching it sooner: When You Were Young by
violace. Excellent Steve/Bucky vid that made me cry. (Let's face it, I am pretty easy when it comes to crying about Steve and Bucky - I do it a lot - so let that be your gauge.)

Legend of Korra: The Battle of Zaofu
Oh my gosh, they are really hammering home the Varrick = Tony Stark thing, huh? Clean energy! Building a suicide that worked out exactly as he planned, with him and Bolin escaping while everyone else thinks they're dead. I think Kuvira should totally be watching her back because Zhu Li is not going to let that stand.
and oh, Korra. *smishes her* She's trying so hard to be diplomatic and a peacemaker, which has never been her natural inclination, and she's still recovering from mercury poisoning and still got that PTSD close to the surface, and she can't beat Kuvira, even in the avatar state. I feel so much for her. I love that Jinora and Opal saved her. I love that so many women are the prime movers of the action here - Su, Kuvira, Zhu Li, Korra, Jinora, Opal - and they're all very different. Plus, Huan approved of Ikki's art - he went way up in my estimation with that scene. Bataar Jr., meanwhile, remains a prick.
I feel like the season can't be half over! It can't be almost done! And yet I feel like so much has already happened, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
