I used to make it day to day

Whew, I just put a crumb cake in the oven for Victor - I owe him for his birthday, since he was in Italy at the time, and tomorrow is his graduation party. But it is hot to be baking. I kept having to duck into the living room where the AC is on to cool off a little.

I left work today at 2:45, and now I have a long 4-day birthday weekend ahead of me, which is nice. Tomorrow is the party, but then once I'm home tomorrow night, the next three days are MINE. I have plans to write and to watch a bunch of stuff.

Speaking of writing, in May, my period lasted 13 days, and I don't mean, like, a few days of spotting before and after the main event, I mean, like, 10 days of serious bleeding and then a few days of spotting at the end. That has never happened to me before! And then I didn't get it at all in June. It showed up on July 3, and all of a sudden I was able to sit down and write 1000 or 2000 words at a pop again. I've tracked it the past few years, and the week before my period is the absolute worst for me in terms of being able to write, but this is ridiculous. Menopause can't come soon enough.

Anyway, if writing continues, I hope to be able to post the accidental baby acquisition story for my birthday. It's already 7500 words long and it is basically nothing but schmoop, with more schmoop on the horizon. *hands* I am what I am. Some people write beautifully moving and meaningful stories. I write about dumbasses who can't handle feelings and occasionally have to deal with babies and shenanigans.
