This 5-ingredient Nutella cookie recipe crossed my tumblr dash yesterday, and I was like, "Hmm...don't I have that bookmarked?" And it turns out that, spoiler, I do, so I made them yesterday (sans the sea salt, which I completely forgot about in the confusion of trying to get the cooling cookies off the rack so I could use the space to make lasagna roll-ups. Which I also made for lunch this week (and dinner last night), though this time I used a combination of pesto and ricotta, since I didn't feel like making sauce (I bought pre-made pesto). Both the roll-ups and the cookies turned out well, though I also didn't have any room in my freezer to chill the cookie dough (dough seems like too strong a term - it was like crumbs that you could smoosh together into little balls to make cookies), so I did it in the back of the fridge for 20 minutes instead of the freezer for 10. It worked out, though it's a little messy. I imagine kids might enjoy getting their hands into this and smooshing crumbs of dough together to make the cookies. I probably would have.
So that's how I spent my Sunday afternoon. And then last night, I watched the first episode of The Musketeers on BBC America, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I made sure my dad watched it too, since he has always loved the Three Musketeers. Also, possibly this is just because I'm rereading the Amelia Peabody books so it's top of mind, but the guy who plays D'Artagnan is pretty close to my mental image of Ramses. I'd never really been able to cast him in my head before, so that was nice.
Anyway, if you haven't seen it already, and you enjoy hot men in leather engaging in swashbuckling and sword fights, you might enjoy it.
