SNOW DAY! WOOHOO!

I took this opportunity to transfer all my yuletide recs to
unfitforsociety: 51 recs in 30 fandoms, with authors' names on now. Read, love, comment!

In more exciting news, rumor has it Agent Carter may actually become a TV show. PEGGY CARTER AND COLD WAR ERA SPYJINKS. OH MY HEART. PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE. And please let it be better than SHIELD.

Also, the Veronica Mars movie trailer! EEEEE! GIVE IT TO ME.

I enjoyed last night's two episodes of Community. I laughed, I cringed, I thought most of the callbacks worked, and I hear episode 4 is fantastic.

I also thought last night's Elementary was really good. While I figured out before Sherlock that the girl was Moriarty's daughter, I am SO PLEASED that he is not the father. I also hope that the mentor she mentioned is also not the father so that it can be Holmes Sr. (I don't want it to be Mycroft because I feel like that is too neat/contrived.) But having her criminal mastermind mentor be Holmes's father (and casting someone excellent in the role), would work for me.

I also really liked how she tried to get under Joan's skin but Joan was just not having it. They spark really interestingly off each other - Moriarty is definitely jealous, though I don't think she understands what she's jealous *of*, necessarily. I think leaving Matu alive at the end was calculated to make Sherlock think she's capable of changing, not that she is actually going to change. I think both of them were for so long in love with the notion of their own singularity, and how that destined them for each other, that they can't quite let that illusion go, though Sherlock's had to learn more hard truths, given the drug addiction etc., and the way he's been able to create meaningful relationships with other people, while for Moriarty, they're still all puzzles or henchmen. (I'm not sure how I think she feels about her daughter - whether she's property or some sort of eventual leverage, there's definitely possessiveness there, as there is with Sherlock.)

Now, I might just make some hot chocolate. Hmm...
