Teen Wolf: The Overlooked

I did not want Jennifer Blake to end up evil and dead, but now that she's put both Papa Stilinski and Mama McCall in danger, I'm afraid there's no help for it - she has to go. Otoh, how badass was Melissa McCall in this episode? SHE IS THE BEST. And as much as I dislike Scott going off with Deucalion, saving her and the sheriff is pretty much the only reason I can see for Scott to do that (well, to save Stiles or Allison, but Allison would rescue herself, and I hope Scott would know that).

I'm not even a big fan of Derek Hale but I don't like how the show tries to make EVERYTHING HIS FAULT. Like, what the hell? Who thought that was a good idea?

Even with that, and all the ridiculousness that comes along with any episode of Teen Wolf (Peter!), I enjoyed this a lot. Though I don't get why Stiles did rescue breathing but no chest compressions on Cora. It's not like they showed him checking to see if she had a pulse. I thought they changed the order from airway, breathing, chest compressions (the way I learned it back when I was actually CPR certified, which was ~20 years ago) to chest compressions, airway, breathing? Not a detail to get hung up on, but it did give me pause as a viewer.

I've also started watching Longmire, mostly because Katee Sackhoff. I've watched the first two episodes so far and the pacing is...leisurely, but I'm interested in Sackhoff's character and the titular sheriff and their [well-earned] antagonism towards the dude who was Graham on Buffy. I also think the tension between tribal law enforcement and white law enforcement could be interesting, but I don't yet know if I trust the show to handle it well.

In other fannish news, yesterday, I picked up the Pacific Rim novelization (!!!) since I might want to write fic, and I also wrote 600 words of Steve Rogers/Buffy Summers, because that is a pairing that should be fun. We'll see how it goes.

I had a really hard time getting out of bed this morning, and I can't quite seem to get all the way awake. Sigh. Tuesdays.
