the ones who love us least are the ones we'll die to please

So yesterday I got an email from Ticketmaster with the subject "See Psychedelic Furs Live in Concert!" and I was like, did this email come from 1986?

But then today,
snacky linked to this: The Replacements Announce First Shows in 22 Years!

!!!!

I knew they'd put out new material as a charity project, but I... I did not expect this.

In other exciting news I never thought would actually happen, they started filming the Veronica Mars movie yesterday. I AM EXCITE! PLEASE DON'T SUCK. (Though honestly, I think the whole thing might be worth it just for Ryan Hansen's video. There are no words, people. No words. None.)

Teen Wolf: Fireflies

Okay, I'm guessing Sheriff Stilinski has to know more than he's letting on here, so can we please just get him in on the action?

I feel like the werewolves et al. are not using their resources as well as they could (they are less organized than the Winchesters! That is pretty poorly organized. I am just saying. They need to do a lot more communicating, which would likely result in a lot fewer dead bodies.), but then, as much as I enjoy this show as it is - and I do - I would probably be much more interested in the show where the sheriff, the ER nurse, the hunter, the guidance counselor, and the vet fight the forces of darkness together.

I am already shipping Derek/Teacher Lady. Though my suspension of disbelief - which is pretty expansive for this show - almost snapped at the idea that she'd still be in the school at 4 o'clock in the morning. Like, seriously? Does she not have to teach in the morning?

But overall I enjoyed the episode, and I'm glad Scott got to rescue the little kids, though I felt bad for the bb lesbians (I had to look away during the bug scene so I wasn't sure what happened at first). Isaac's interactions with everyone were hilarious - I am not a huge Isaac fan, but his scene in the car with Derek was HILARIOUS. Oh, Derek, I like you much better when you're like this. Also, I felt so bad for him while he was letting Boyd and Cora shred him to bits, because you know he thinks he deserves it for being a crappy alpha and believing he's the one who got his family burned to death. Oh honey, let the nice teacher lady hug you.

I want more for Lydia this season than for her to run around screaming and finding dead bodies. And I'm really digging Allison's storyline so far. I want the two of them to be running that town pack.

I don't ask much from this show - I want Allison and Lydia to be awesome and in charge and have agency, and I want Papa Stilinksi and Mama McCall to get involved with each other and also with the werewolfy shenanigans.
