who does it better than we do?
1. Gaslight Anthem is playing Hudson River Park on July 26 (Friday) and July 28 (Sunday). Tickets go on sale Friday, and appear to be ~$41, though who knows what all fees and surcharges will be added to that. Anyone interested in trying to get tickets?
2. I still want the Avengers baseball story where Steve is on first, Bucky is on second, Tony is the shortstop, and Thor plays third. BEST INFIELD IN THE NL (Steve and I disdain the DH). Natasha and Clint are the unbeatable pitcher/catcher battery, Bruce is the angry reliever who pitches best under pressure, Carol's out in left, Peter's in center, and Sam is in right. Fury manages, Maria Hill's the hitting instructor, and Coulson's the pitching coach. Pepper owns the team, Jane's the GM and Darcy's a scout.
Maybe Steve's having a rough time since Bucky got traded to the Reds, but Bucky's season ends with a torn rotator cuff but then he has Tommy John surgery in the off-season and gets signed off waivers by the Avengers and comes back better than before. MOSTLY I JUST LIKE THE IMAGE OF EVERYBODY IN BASEBALL PANTS. COME ON NOW. And also sun-drenched grass-stained sweaty Steve/Bucky makeouts.
