omg. this is, as always with your writing, beautiful and evocative and elegant and *so* true to all the characters.

besides the unspoken conversation between Natasha and Clint (which, you can tell from my icon, would be THE moment for me), I love love love love this:

someone he can have eyebrow conversations with, the way Natasha and Clint and Tony and Pepper do. Eyebrow conversations! YES! PERFECTION!

thank you so very, very much.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting! I'm so glad it worked for you, especially the unspoken conversation between Clint and Natasha; I wasn't sure that would be clear enough.

Aw, this was beautiful! I love fics where Steve interacts with his past, I guess you could say, or comes to feel more at home in the contemporary time. I like the sense of grief for what's past/what he missed, but how he's also reached the point where he likes where he is and look forward to what's to come.

Thank you so much! I'm so glad that it worked for you because this: I like the sense of grief for what's past/what he missed, but how he's also reached the point where he likes where he is and look forward to what's to come. is exactly what I was going for.
