i walk the world with a skin so thin

I haven't watched this week's Good Wife yet, or last week's Arrow (in that case, it's because both the the live airing and my DVR recording have no sound; was this a TWC NYC thing? Or just a chez P. thing? at any rate, I haven't tracked down a copy yet), but I did manage to watch last night's White Collar since the Rangers game ended around 9:40 pm. Can I just say Reed Diamond continues to be hot and I wish he would find a good show to be on? he's in the Joss stable of actors via Dollhouse, so couldn't he be somebody on SHIELD? A good guy? And maybe Clark Johnson could guest star and they could bicker? I would like that. (I was also amused to see Peter Scolari as a guest star in this ep. Who knew, back when Bosom Buddies was on, that Tom Hanks would become Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari would be doing this?) Ahem. Anyway. White Collar. While the keymaster plot was amusing (Jones & Mozzie ftw!), I think this whole thing with El making Neal lie to Peter is the dumbest. It's just ridiculous and it makes me think less of El as a character and the writers in general that they're trying to force a conflict between Neal and Peter this way.

Question: If Bucky were dipped in a Lazarus pit to restore his memories, would his missing arm also regenerate? Could it be fudged by saying he wasn't in long enough for that? Discuss.

Wednesday book meme:

What I'm currently reading

Acacia: The Acacia Trilogy, Book One by David Anthony Durham. Apparently this guy usually writes historical novels, and I think it shows in the plotting - this is a very plot driven book, and the world building is really good. I'm not really feeling most of the characters, but there's political machinations aplenty, and we'll see how it goes before I decide whether or not to read the next two.

What I recently finished

The Wind Through the Keyhole by Stephen King, which is a mid-quel in the Dark Tower series. I enjoyed revisiting the characters in a time before the authorial insertion ruined everything. If you liked the book-long flashback of Wizard Under Glass, you'll probably enjoy this book, because it's Roland telling a story about his youth and nested in that is a story that his mother told him as a child. It's a quick read and I enjoyed it.

What I plan to read next

I think we've established that I don't really know? Though if I end up liking Acacia, there are two more books in that trilogy. I do have Rampant by Diana Peterfreund and also the third Flora Segunda book, so it could be one of those. Plus, Hawkeye #7 comes out today, so I'll be reading that tonight when I get home.
