i am likewise super curious how joan decides to stay on elementary! i can't see sherlock intentionally relapsing, but unless she decides that yes, she does want to be an investigator and sherlock's "associate" - because i'm not sure i can see her as his apprentice either, altho it made me giggle that that's what he suggested, and actually i thought it was kind of charming in a "he really wants her to stay and is trying to figure out how but he should know she'll laugh at being his apprentice" kind of way - i totally lost the thread there. >.< anyway. i want to think sherlock respects joan too much to manipulate her into staying with him, and she wouldn't stay with someone who did that to her. but i have no ( ... )

Which in a round-about way is me agreeing with you? Incorrect sports references throw me out of a story so quickly, whether that's profic or fanfic.
(And also a huzzah for having someone check it, and an understanding grimace of pain for agonising over one throwaway line in a story.)
