Five things make a post, right?

1. I thought switching to the new friends page on LJ might help it load quicker but 1. it did not, and 2. it is so unpleasing to the eye that I switched back to my plain but not eye-searing layout ASAP. Oh, LJ, we had a great run, but I'm getting to the point where even crossposting seems too difficult, and that's all on you. At this point, my attitude is, if it goes through, it goes through, but I'm not going to fuss about it anymore. I apologize to the LJ-only folks, but when the site's not working, there's not a lot I can do. You can find me on DW and tumblr (I'm cacchieressa on tumblr) when LJ finally goes belly up.

II. I watched the first episode of Cowboy Bebop and I liked it (despite some buffering issues). I don't really have anything to say as of yet, but I plan to watch more at some point, probably streaming. If I wanted to pick up the DVDs, though, is the Remix version superior to the original version? Is that a remastered set? (Remix set 1 and Remix set 4 are on sale at Amazon is the thing.) I don't really understand and I don't want to spend money (or, realistically, gift certificates) if I'm not getting the best possible option. Recommendations?

C. Young Justice comes back this weekend. I am excite!

quattro.
12_12_12 has just watched Avatar: The Last Airbender and has some great posts about it on her Avatar: The Last Airbender tag (I especially liked the post about Sokka & Zuko.)

5. I watched the series finale of Leverage last night. Oh heart. I remember when I first read about the show happening - I was all, Tim Hutton and Christian Kane! Fulfilling your desire for explosions and larceny (actual description of the show by John Rogers)! SIGN ME UP. And then ALDIS HODGE - who by the time the first episode leaked (iirc, it was available online months before it aired on TV) I knew from FNL and SPN - and Beth Riesgraf stole the show as Hardison and Parker. Age of the geek, baby! ♥♥♥ I gave it up somewhere in the middle, mostly because of Too Much Nate but came back this season, and even though I didn't watch the most recent bunch of episodes, I watched the finale and enjoyed it a lot. They made the OT3 CANON! <333 Also, I knew Sterling had to be in on it, but it was nice to be proved right. I was never super fannish about it, but it was a bright spot of enjoyable comfort TV that righted itself after going off the rails a little, and I'll miss it, though knowing TNT it'll be on endlessly in reruns forever.
