1. So I just talked about Steve/Bucky, so let's talk about BUCKY/NATASHA here, comics Bucky and Natasha, who were brainwashed assassins together, and who made each other feel human when they were nothing but weapons, and didn't even have identities outside of what was programmed into them. So they steal moments together, but then even that is taken away from them, and he gets put into cold storage and she finally escapes and becomes her own woman and a superhero, AND THEN HE COMES BACK. And they are AWESOME together. She pushes him to be the man she knows he can be, and she understands that he feels guilt and shame for the things he was made to do, and loves him anyway, and he thinks she is the most awesome lady he's ever known and is constantly supportive of her even when she makes choices he doesn't agree with.
2. COACH AND MRS. COACH. Eric and Tami Taylor, y'all. Talk about a working, supportive, functional marriage. I draw a million sparkly hearts around them. They love each other and they make each other better and they fight but they don't let those fights consume them - they talk to each other (well, Tami talks until Eric opens up) and they are AMAZING.
3. SIRIUS/REMUS. OTP OF OTPS. I'm not sure I'll ever feel the same about any other pairing as I felt (still feel, tbh) about Sirius/Remus, because they have all the things I love: close friends who are broken apart by larger circumstances, long separation due to tragedy, and then REUNIONATING. After TWELVE YEARS APART, THEY CAN STILL FINISH EACH OTHER'S SENTENCES AND ANTICIPATE EACH OTHER'S MOVES. ♥♥♥ They also get a second chance (that ends badly *sob* but they do get it) and I just have such love for them.
Comics Bucky/Natasha are really wonderful! Natasha is a badass in all iterations, comics and the movie, and she and Bucky complement each other really well.
Oh man, please don't get me started on Coach/Mrs Coach; we will be here ALL DAY. It was such a great depiction of a loveing functional marriage, you know? They had disagreements, serious ones, but they always worked through it, and the show really took the time to show them in the small, contemplative moments where it was obvious to the viewer that these two people know each other so well, and love and genuinely like each other so much... I wish there were more like it on TV, but I haven't seen it since, except in White Collar, which I don't watch that regularly. But! TAYLORS FOREVER!! (I can't wait for the movie: the focus is very much going to be on them. YAY!)
Sirius/Remus! Still not over it either. TWELVE YEARS APART, THEY CAN STILL FINISH EACH OTHER'S SENTENCES AND ANTICIPATE EACH OTHER'S MOVES.
wait. wait. there's going to be a FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS (THE TV SERIES) MOVIE? LIKE, DISTINCT FROM THE ORIGINAL FNL MOVIE WHAT WAS BASED ON A MAGAZINE ARTICLE? HOLY CRAP.
*gets a grip*
no, seriously, a fnl-the-series movie? holyshit. when?
It's kind of like the Veronica Mars movie; all the FNL actors are open to it, and the producers have got a script going for it completed, apparently. What happens after that... who knows? But how great would it be if it actually got greenlit by a studio?
