I'll tap into your strength and drain it dry

back to back one-hitters for R.A. Dickey! 13 strikeouts tonight! <3

Let us not speak of work. Today was super busy and tomorrow likely will be, as well. Sigh. Stupid work.

Let us instead speak of Miles Morales and Ultimate Spider-man, mostly because HE IS ADORABLE. And I want to keep him FAR, FAR AWAY from the Ultimate Avengers or whatever they're calling themselves, specially Ultimate!Cap (who is vile and I hate him. I should make a macro for that, since I feel like he can't be mentioned without my saying it, mostly because IT IS THE TRUEST TRUE THING.).

I caught up with the last few issues so I could read the first issue of Spider-men, in which nothing much happens, but I am so excited for Miles to get some decent mentoring from 616!Peter. <3 <3 <3

Last week, I read Thief of Time, which technically was the first Discworld book I ever read, probably the year it came out, and I remember thinking it had a great premise but I was clearly missing out on a lot. So it was fun to revisit it knowing so much more about the universe. I enjoyed it a lot more this time around, I think.

Then I read Just Like Heaven and A Night Like This, the two Smythe-Smith novels by Julia Quinn (they're a spinoff from the Bridgerton books) and I enjoyed them, though I liked the first one quite a bit more than the second one.

Lastly, this is the best iteration of the Call Me Maybe meme I've seen. I don't think anything's going to top that. <3 (Let's be real: topping Cookie Monster is unpossible.)
