1. Now that the work of Remix is over, I will attempt to catch up on answering comments, though I make no guarantees.
b. ugh, the Rangers are upsetting my stomach, though they just tied it 1-1. \o/ IT'S A POWER PLAY GOAL. Jesus christ, why don't they shoot the puck? They need to take advantage of this 5 on 3 situation. Just shoot the fucking puck! RICHARDS SHOOTS! HE SCORES! IT'S A POWER PLAY GOAL! I've also found some of the meta analysis about Legend of Korra being posted on tumblr really interesting - especially the ones about Bolin and Mako's bending styles and also the discussions of the infrastructure of Republic City and the worldbuilding etc. So fascinating. eta 2: links in comments
VI. This is an interesting essay about Katniss's body horror in The Hunger Games, and how it was a really strong presence in the books but not as much in the movie.
7. So, since I upgraded to Lion, Adium doesn't work at all and iChat not only randomly disconnects me, but it shows me as offline even when I list myself as available. I know there are known issues with Lion and chat programs, but this is really annoying!
H. And speaking of Lion, it also doesn't work with Citrix, or Citrix has to be reinstalled? I have to talk to the IT guys at work, but really, there should be some kind of notice about that.
IX. I heard from my fourth remixee, who was actually my originally assigned person, so I am pleased. I will remind you that Remix is a generally low feedback ficathon - there's usually one story that gets a huge response and everything else sort of languishes. I wish it weren't the case, but for whatever reason, it's been that way always - back when it was email feedback, when it was on that database where comments got emailed, when it was on LJ, and now that it's on AO3.
