apparently if I see someone posting about Bucky Barnes, I cannot resist the impulse to simply comment with ♥BUCKY♥ and move on. I am all full of love that cannot be contained. Bucky, you guys! How is he so awesome? (This is much easier than being all ♥JASON♥ at people, because most people do not actually hate Bucky, even if they hate that he came back, and I haven't even seen much of that on the rare occasions I've poked around outside of my usual fannish neighborhood. seriously, though, ♥BUCKY♥ and also, for good measure, ♥JASON♥ formerly dead sidekicks ftw!)
Also full of love? My copy of Batgirl v3: The Lesson arrived today. ♥STEPH♥ She has become the Batgirl of my heart and in the canon in my head, she's the Batgirl to Cass's Batman. er, Black Bat. Because ♥CASS♥ also. GIRLFRIENDS WHO FIGHT CRIME YAY. (Sometimes Supergirl joins them, because she is also awesome.)
I'm sorry, I got about four hours of sleep again last night, because I had to be in early this morning, so I'm working on about 8 hours of sleep over the past 60 hours, and I am very punchy. The reason I wasn't in bed at a reasonable hour last night was because I was writing fic. *facepalm*

You guys, how did this movie hit so many of my bulletproof kinks? I feel like it's very similar to Dark Angel in terms of story, though instead of transgenics, they're specials, but still on the run from Sekrit & Evil Government Organizations. It also hits that broken older man/powerful young girl who should be siblingy but are actually really fraught and sexy place that Logan/Rogue and Mal/River hit for me. (and also why I keep poking at Bucky Barnes/Kate Bishop. Why is this not more of a thing? It can't end well, but it could sure be a hot mess.) Except at least they were 17 and 16 respectively? 13 is really young. I mean, really young. *hands* I knew Chris Evans was pretty charismatic, but I did not expect sparky chemistry with Dakota Fanning. I mean, really now.
Anyway, it did not turn out to be the story I thought I was writing, but that's okay. I have a bunch of different ideas. Unfortunately, I have a feeling I am going to run out of all the Nick/Cassie and end up delving into FF.net fairly shortly, and that rarely ends well. Do I need to break out the Max/Alec it's a sickness tag again? Stay tuned!
