my heart skips like a broken record

Go, little board books, get off my desk and fly to board members who won't read you and won't remember to bring you to the meeting next week!

Chris Evans fanboying Robert Downey Jr. is adorable, even if I hate Steve/Tony as a pairing. (Sometimes I feel the need for ecards: "I'm happy you're happy, but I'm sorry, I really hate your pairing." I'm also trying to figure out why some pairings evoke such a strong response while I'm apathetic about others I dislike; it's not just tinhat OTPing - e.g., I am a hardcore Sirius/Remus OTPer, but I'm apathetic about Snape/Lupin, and I don't think it's just because Sirius is unavailable for large stretches of time; otoh, I really hate Remus/Tonks, especially as portrayed in canon.)

I keep forgetting Joss is directing this movie. I'm not sure if that excites me or makes me even warier.

Let's finish this sucker off.

30 days of fanfic meme:

Day 1 / Day 2 / Day 3 / Day 4 / Day 5 / Day 6 / Day 7 / Day 8 / Day 9 / Day 10 / Day 11 / Day 12 / Day 13 / Day 14 / Day 15 / Day 16 / Day 17 / Day 18 / Day 19 / Day 20 / Day 21 / Day 22 / Day 23 / Day 24 / Day 25 / Day 26

Day 27 - Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?

I can write nearly anywhere (and pretty much have), but on the couch in my living room, with the laptop in bed, and my dad's little home office have traditionally been the places I've done the most writing. Well, and at work. *snerk* I write with whatever is available. Sometimes I write by hand in a notebook, sometimes I send myself emails on my phone with story notes or lines of dialogue, but these days, most everything is done on a computer. Unless I'm on the train or something. Also, on the walls of the shower with shower crayons! The writer's best friend! For those sudden bursts of inspiration in the shower.

Day 28 - Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your story?

I've co-written one or two stories on occasion, and it was a lot of fun, but I'm not really good at collaborating. I don't know if you know this, but I'm kind of a control freak. And while I've gotten some lovely fanart over the years to go with my stories, I've never been involved in a collaboration with an artist or vidder while we were both in the process of working on a story.

Day 29 - What is your current project or projects?

Right now, I'm concentrating on a Dick/Steph story and trying to figure out if I should end it where it is - it feels like an ending point has been reached - or keep going as originally planned, with dealing with the repercussions of them having sex (which are not what they were expecting). Like, I really do want that second version of the story, where it's less about how badly it could end (though I don't think it would, since 1. I think they have complementary baggage in some ways, and 2. they're not emotionally invested enough in each other for it to be really painful; awkward, yes; painful, no) and more about how they have to face the fact that they can't go back to Babs and Tim, respectively, and they're not going to go forward together (i.e., it is not a romance). But I'm not sure continuing this particular story would be the way to go. You know the feeling you get when you reach the end of the story? I sort of had it last night when I was finishing up, and now I'm just like, 'Huh, I did not expect that.' So I don't know what to do yet. *hands*

I also have a current wip list:

= Bruce/Clark/Lois
= Dick/Jason Christmassy porn (now instead of being nine months late, I could be three months early!)
= AMNESIAC FAKE BOYFRIENDS
= the Huntress is awesome story
= M'gann/Superboy

There's also a bunch of stuff I would like to write but haven't actually started yet *cough*Steve/Bucky*cough* *cough*Tim/Kon*cough*.

Day 30 - Do you have a favorite story you've written? What makes it your favorite? And don't forget to give us a link!

Heh. I'm notoriously bad at picking just one, but this time I will: A Million Light Years from Home, aka, Sirius on Serenity. What I like best about it is that it just works, and I really like all the comments that are like, "I did not think it was possible to pull this off; I only read it to see if you could make it work and you do!" Because it is the epitome of crossovers that should not work and yet somehow it does. It's also my most popular story, probably for that reason.
