the borderlines we drew between us
So I've been reading Birds of Prey and I don't really have any deep thoughts about anything, but OH MY GOD, HELENA HOW ARE YOU SO AWESOME?
I mean, sure, Babs and Dinah are also awesome (and I totally ship them now, because they are totally married), but Helena is the lady vigilante of my heart. I love that Dinah scolds Batman for her, and Babs finally trusts her (and Commissioner Gordon is just like, "Step off my daughter, Batman," because he is the most awesome of all, tied with Alfred ♥ and also, Batman, maybe instead of being all preachy at Babs about how you don't like Helena, maybe you should be looking into Dick's dumbass plan to wipe out the mob, which I think was happening at nearly the same time, and which didn't work out so well, while Helena's did, so just STFU) and then Helena totally blows his mind with her awesome work and he has to compliment her again and he wears that stupid smile and the Dinah just kisses the hell out of him, which is hilarious, and he's like, "You're a strange woman, Dinah Lance." Oh, Bruce, how are you so BAD with the ladies when you actually like them? (Though I'm sure you're totally smug at Ollie after that and he's just like, "How are you even more insufferable than usual?") And the other ladies are all like, "Well? How was it?" Possibly I enjoyed that more than I should have. Possibly I even laughed out loud and clapped like a seal.
