you will never rise from the ashes of your shame and humiliation

So I woke up this morning at about 8:15 and was unable to get back to sleep, so I spent a couple of hours decluttering. I filled four garbage bags with books & dvds, one with recycling crap, and one with trash. It felt good. fleurdeleo and I dropped the books & dvds off at Housing Works, went for a late lunch (mmm...bacon cheeseburger), and then a spur of the moment spa pedicure, which was awesome. And now my toes are once again Yodel Me on My Cell, a color which I think makes me even happier than, my two usual favorites, Lincoln Park After Dark or Ballet Slippers (yes, I realize that those two colors are, like, polar opposites. I contain multitudes).

Since all that happened, there wasn't really time to make bread, but I will do that tomorrow. The cable guy is coming between 8 am and 11 am (all I can say is, I better have a picture in time for kickoff or there is going to be some ass-kicking), so I have to be up early anyway. Obviously, I am not making the Dutch artisanal bread that requires 8-18 hours of rising time. The brioche will solve my lunchtime bread problem for the week - I figure I can slice and freeze them. Also, they don't require a ridiculous amount of rising time. I was surprised at how few people voted for brioche, though.

So I've just been lounging on the couch and watching AtLA.

Man, this episode never stops being hilarious. Oh, Azula. ♥
