Aw, this made me cry.

It takes you that long to recognize the wide-eyed look on Ben's face when he sits across from you at the breakfast table, to remember seeing the whites of your own eyes in the mirror sometimes when Dad would come home drunk and crying, and Sam was too little to understand what that meant.

That's so perfect, and so right for this moment, and for Dean in his grief.
