i have a secret plan to fight inflation?
I ended up making Sugar Donut Muffins (even though I always kind of wince at that spelling of doughnut), and last night when I put the cinnamon-sugar topping on them, I wasn't particularly impressed, but this morning I had one for breakfast, and omg, they really do taste good. I wish I'd brought more than one. Totally recommended and ridiculously easy to make.
So I'm back at work and I don't understand - two weeks ago at this time, I was all, "In a week, I will be on vacation," and then BOOM! Last week, I was on vacation. And it went SO FUCKING FAST. And now I'm doing the, "last week at this time, I was on vacation," thing, and it makes me SO SAD. Why can't I be floating in the pool? Why am I stuck setting up more meetings than you could shake a stick at? Why can't I be independently wealthy? Wah wah wah, my life, so hard.

Dude, I'm a fan. What episode of a show I love haven't I watched more than 5 times? I've done the whole run of Firefly more times than I can count, the first three seasons of BtVS a ridiculous number, seasons 1 and 2 of West Wing, seasons 1 and 2 of SPN, with assorted episodes from later seasons, certain episodes of HLotS... I feel like this question doesn't get what it means to be really fannish about a TV show.
I am tempted to go off the beaten path here and talk about the Dark Angel episode "Hello, Goodbye," because it has some great Max/Alec stuff in it, but in the interest of full disclosure, I must admit that I fastforward through all the Logan stuff and all the White stuff, and only watch the Max/Alec parts. *hands* So I don't know if that actually counts.
So I'm going to go with the West Wing episode "Celestial Navigation," here, because woot canaw! The secret plan to fight inflation! "Have you fallen down and hit your head?" Navigating by the Delta shuttle out of LaGuardia! "Sir, I need you to dig in now. It wasn't a nightmare, you really are the president." ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
There is no part of this episode that isn't fantastic, and generally, if I am in need of comfort television, this is the episode I reach for.
I was going to quote, but it got way too long, because so much in the episode is quotable. I'm smiling just thinking about it.
