don't call it a comeback

I'm having the kind of day where I had breakfast for lunch and my 11 am meeting happened at 1:45 pm.

Tuesday, you are even more horrible at being Monday than Monday is.

One more day. After tomorrow night, my long work nightmare is over. At least until mid-August, when I start gearing up for the next board meeting. And there won't be another gala event until next year. Sadly, I have been moved out from behind the safe, predictable registration table and will now be escorting the photographer around to take pictures of all the important people. Yay? (Heh. My boss just said to me, "It'll be over in 28 hours!")

Meanwhile, my glasses broke at about 3 am on Saturday night, but luckily, I had my fifteen year old (but still the same prescription!) glasses out at the parents, so I brought those home with me. I guess I need to go to lenscrafters or whatever. I just have been going to the same optometrist since I was twelve, and I don't do well with change, but I really need glasses that aren't going to fall apart if I look at them funny (or, as is more likely, knock them off the night table in the middle of the night while reaching for my water bottle).

Lastly, I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night, so it's a good thing most of what I've had to do today is making copies and stuffing envelopes. Oy. In fact, I have to go make more copies now, because apparently the FINAL FINAL presentation wasn't quite as final as they'd thought, so now there will be an ABSOLUTELY FINAL FINAL version, which is allegedly going to be in my inbox by 3 pm. I'll believe it when I see it. Also, how does the Firefox spellchecker not recognize "inbox" as a word?

On the upside, now that remix is over, I am free of writing commitments until Yuletide (well, sort of; more on that at a later date). This is exciting! When I finally get my brain back. Also, my birthday is coming up in about six weeks, and you know you want to write something for me. I'm just putting that out there.
