i blamed you for my freezing and forgetting
I've got a fuckton of work to get done today, but there are two things I couldn't stop thinking about re: last night's SPN:
1. Maybe Keith was meant to be an homage to Keith "I have been addicted to every substance known to man and lived" Richards? (Otoh, Keith Moon died of an overdose.) Sam does seem the type to pick a symbolic name for his new life (though really, in that case, he should have gone with Job. Poor Sam.).
2. The show started with Dean picking up his brother to go searching for their missing/absent father. The show ends (well, if this is the last season), with Castiel searching for his missing/absent father. I mean, "this whole industry runs on absent fathers" was to me less about the sex industry and more about hunting (in the text) and the show (metatextually). Which is why I think they could possibly get JDM to embody god (i.e., he wouldn't be John, but he'd be appearing with his image to give some symmetry and some familiarity to Sam and Dean. Otoh, I still say Queen Latifah would be an awesome god. Or Jane Lynch.
Oh, and one thing about the preview:
Someone with feet as gihugic as Sam's should not wear white shoes. I'm just saying. Also, I am amused that Lucifer!Sam apparently takes his fashion cues from Smallville!Lex Luthor.
I dunno. What do you think?
