the corner is and was and always will be the poor man's lounge

You guys, today work was... I don't even know! By 10 am I wanted to go home and hide under the covers! But it all worked out (as far as I can tell) and is yet MORE proof that 1. people don't read and 2. the world would be a better place if people read the emails I sent them before freaking the fuck out and freaking me out.

I'm just sayin'.

Things got better, though, and my bosses appear pleased at the moment, so as long as tomorrow goes well... I have a three day weekend, and then four days to get ready for the next committee meeting and the board meeting. If you've ever done board support in a non-profit, I'm sure you know what I am up against. *sigh*

liz_marcs made a post today about Robert Wisdom being on SPN, and she linked to two of his AWESOME scenes on The Wire. For those of you who haven't seen them:

the brown paper bag speech (HAMSTERDAM!)

the story about taking the kids to Ruth Chris

That is just a small taste of why my love for Robert Wisdom is large.

As a bonus, because that made me miss The Wire, here's Stringer Bell explaining why territory don't mean shit and Carver imposing a tax initiative on Hamsterdam drug dealers, aka, "What are you, a fucking communist?"

I still think s3 is my favorite season of The Wire, but I'm going to try to rewatch the whole thing this summer, and we'll see if that changes.

I don't have my Carver icon uploaded, so I will use the hotness that is Shemar Moore instead.
