the whistle makes me their god
I really do not understand why the CW - or WPIX, the NYC CW affiliate - is showing SPN in fullscreen rather than widescreen. When "Afterschool Special" first aired, it was letterboxed, and now it's not. Why would they do that? What is the point? It makes absolutely no sense to me.
Another thing I still don't understand - Jensen doing that annoying faux Batman voice so much. He used to only pull it out when Dean was really pushed past endurance, but now he's using it all the time. Not only does it sound ridiculous, but it has lost all impact from overuse.
Also, Sam's man-lipstick is awfully pink in this episode.
Otoh, Colin Ford is AWESOME and I would like him to stick around. Also, Dean's bowlegs are love. (and his thighs are lust.)
Other things today that may have surpassed understanding:
- me trying to explain grain pie to my new boss, and why I'm going to attempt to make it with rice instead of wheat since my sister and my nephew are both allergic to gluten. I will probably use a regular pie crust, though, and not the graham crackers. And orange flower water instead of lemon juice. We'll see how it goes.
- why it was not Friday already. I swear, this week has already been, like, eight days long. I had two committee meetings this week, which means all my writing time has gone to writing minutes. Sigh. I finished the first draft of the second set this afternoon and sent them on for review and editing. At least tomorrow is finally Friday, though for the first time in years, I don't have any time off for Easter (er, not that we got time off for Easter, I just used to take Easter Monday all the time, or sometimes Good Friday), so I am a little sad about that.
- these horrible, creepy Old Navy mannequin commercials. WTF?
In other news, I mostly enjoyed Bones. I think. It had some good moments, with the... and the.... heh.
