I am hoping to get two or three more
halfamoon ficlets done today, but possibly instead of writing I am spending all my time reading about last night's BSG.
The AV Club,
Mo Ryan, and
Alan Sepinwall all do a good job of trying to summarize and synthesize all the information contained in "No Exit." (and obviously highly, highly spoilery, so if you haven't watched the episode, don't click on any of the links.) (as an aside, I am always amused at the old-school usenet-like nastiness that often breaks out in the comments on the AV Club. There was some quality trolling and flaming in the comments of the Dollhouse review.)
Personally, I think I need to see it laid out graphically - timelines are our friends.
Some of the theories I've seen floating around, some of which I myself subscribe to:
= Daniel is either Kara's father, or Kara herself. So Kara is the first cybrid, not Hera.
= Kara reincarnated because there is still a resurrection hub in earth's vicinity (though that doesn't explain her new Viper)
= Daniel will be reborn via Tigh and Caprica's baby (I don't like this one, myself)
= the final five all had their own head!characters as harbingers of the original apocalypse
= Sam Anders is going to be hooked up to Galactica like a hybrid with a base ship
= Galactica herself is the dying leader (though isn't the dying leader supposed to explain the opera house visions? though if they give Galactica voice and consciousness via Anders, I suppose that could work out) (like Moses, Galactica, Adama, and Roslin will be unable to enter whatever new promised land the human-cylon alliance finds; Lee will lead the civilians, and Kara the military [god help them all on that one] - torches have been/will be passed)
= Boomer and Tyrol will reunionate
= the centurions will turn on Cavil, the way they turned on humanity, on the 13th tribe, etc. This has all happened before. It will all happen again. (I miss D'Anna.)
I feel like I am missing a few things, but man, that was a lot to absorb in one episode. I will need a third and fourth rewatch to get it all.
In addition to finishing some halfamoon ficlets, I have a couple of other deadlines this month, AND last night I had movement on one of my casefiles. Okay, I didn't actually write anything, but it was an idea for another scene that needs writing. Casefiles are hard.

In other news,
issaro recorded
a podfic version of
The Hubbert Peak, my Max/Alec heatfic. How cool is that? Podfic!
