I had dinner tonight at Chat 'n Chew with tenaciousmetoo, dotfic, innie_darling, and janissa11, who is visiting our fair city. Then dotfic and I headed on down to Ludlow Street to see Tom McRae, who was fantastic, as usual, though he seemed to be having a glitchy night - things didn't go quite as smoothly as they normally do, and there was the attempted sing-a-long of EPIC FAIL on "End of the World News," which was hilarious. He also congratulated us on Obama's victory ("Pretend hope is something we don't have tonight, or else these songs won't work. They're too depressing." Hee!).
This week's set included two new songs, before which he asked that anybody recording the show please press pause, and the songs are not supposed to be recorded or released for eighteen months. One of them he'd played last week, and one was completely new to me. The set list went like this:
This time, we managed to get to the merch table, so both dotfic and I picked up a couple of live cds, though nothing with new material (I guess not for eighteen months? That really sucks.).
Then I came home to a notice on the vestibule door that the water is being turned off tomorrow morning between 9 and noon. Previous experience has shown me that that can't end well. Sigh.
Now I have unwound a little, so I need to take a quick shower and go to bed.
Hey, it's after midnight, which means it's Thursday, which means there's new Supernatural tonight. Yay! Boys!

- Border Song (Jason Hart stuck around, and Claire [something] joined them on violin)
- One Mississippi (also with cello, piano and violin)
