i don't know if this is one thing or another

I have edited my spn_summergen story per beta suggestions and it has grown yet again. I am always amused at writing advice that assumes you need to cut a third of the story out, because I am generally adding stuff, and yeah, sometimes it can be as much as a third of the word count, if I need a new section or if I was especially, uh, sparse in my descriptions ( Read more... )

i should've been a librarian, writing: general

Eeek. I hadn't noticed. I don't really like this, because each link now takes so more space in the listview, especially if you use as many tags as I do. And while the old tag bundling interface drove me crazy (last time I sorted tags I had added into my bundles and changed some it took nearly a *day* and it weren't that many edits), the new one doesn't even load bundles for me.

Also, where has the "unbundled tags" section gone? really, according to these newfangled numbers it displays I have 3500 tags, finding the couple of recently added ones again (e.g. to display stories with them) in the full listing is impossible. I need that unbundled section. Especially since I seem to be unable to bundle them currently.

I don't currently have any unbundled tags, so I don't know how that works yet, but I would be surprised if they got rid of that completely.

Well, if you find out tell me, because I sure can't find mine among my 3500 tags without help and don't see that feature anywhere, and it is not for a lack of trying when going through their new interface. And I can't edit my larger bundles at all, amnd have tried now in several browsers. So I'm very much pissed off at delicious at this point.

Well, you can collapse it a little, I think, though then you just get the name of the link and no other information. And yeah, there are some issues with bundling, I guess. Hopefully they will be worked out.

I'd get used to cosmetic changes eventually, if they fixed their basic functions so that they worked again. I mean, the new tag completition is kind of nice for example, it's just not worth having other things much worse now, IMO.
