Thunder Road is one of my all-time favorite songs, if not THE all-time favorite (it certainly gets my vote as Greatest Song of All Time), and I've been listening to it a lot lately, which means it must be time for another post about how awesome it is.

i listen to "wings for wheels" a lot, and while i mostly prefer "thunder road," i love love love love "i know you're lonely like me / so baby don't try and fake it" more than almost ANYTHING.

Hmm, I heard that comment "I don't drive," but I heard it about Ray Davies, not Elvis. I should go look it up...

My sister wants Thunder Road played at her funeral.

I just learned that my mother walked up the aisle to the piano intro (and my parents decided to have a music insert in the wedding program solely so they could say "Additional music by Isaac Watts and Bruce Springsteen"). For me, it's a serious candidate for Best Song Ever Written. And I'd never heard "Wings for Wheels" before, so thank you for the download!
