They say you can't actually die of boredom, but after today, I'm beginning to think it is a possibility. Dear god, it was boring. And really, sending someone as generally cynical as I am to sit on a jury is just going to make my misanthropy that much worse. It doesn't look like they will be wrapping this up tomorrow (poor ersatz Rusty Ryan had to cancel his tee time), and it's probably not gonna happen Thursday either, unless they get through things faster than they did today.

For lunch, one of the ladies and I had dirty water dogs, and zomg, you guys! I haven't had one in ages and it was simultaneously spectacularly tasty and also gross. I had to eat without thinking about it, but when I did that, they tasted really good (I had two). Tomorrow I have to make more of an effort to have breakfast though, and possibly coffee, because the past two days I've gotten headaches, and that's probably from not eating until 1pm and also not having any caffeine.

Also, not being at work has meant not writing, which is bad, considering I have a remix due in 12 days. I mean, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing, but I am usually more on top of things than this. And I am behind on everything else - email and comments and such. I've just been quick-skimming my flist, so if I miss something important, I'm sorry.

So I finally finished the sekrit incest baby story, wrote something involving ILLEGAL HOMELESS BOXING, made Dean climb a tree and fly a kite, and share milk and cookies and a pillow fort with Sam, who in a different story got his socks rocked by Buffy. That's a pretty good month. And I need to remember to repost the pillow fort story here and to various comms. Hmm... Someday I will actually update my website, too. Sigh.

March 2008 Top 5 Songs

5. Jane Says - Jane's Addiction
'cause sometimes you need a classic. This really makes me want to finish the Dean/Veronica stories I have on my hard drive. No, I don't know why either, but it works.

4. Once I Was Mighty - Martina Sorbara
A favorite making a comeback after a while away.

3. I'll Fall With Your Knife - Peter Murphy
There's fic in here, I just haven't found it yet.

2. Gabriel - Lamb
It's actually kind of a toss-up between this and Lullaby, which I also love (we'll have love aplenty / we'll have joys unnumbered), but um, I've kind of started associating this song with Dean *facepalm* so you can see why I'd listen to it a lot, especially when writing. (I can fly / but I want his wings / I can shine even in the darkness / but I crave the light that he brings; this kind of makes me want to write wingfic *facepalm x eleventy million*)

1. Flesh Mechanic - Placebo
This is the soundtrack for the really awesome Alec (and Max/Alec) vid in my head. Someone should make that.
