"The third gay -- that was pushing it."

luzdeestrellas reminded me I meant to post a link to this: George Clooney in Esquire, because he is SO AWESOME OMG! (thanks to hackthis for the link!)

*fangirls him madly*

"No. I'm gay, gay. The third gay -- that was pushing it."

Speaking of luzdeestrellas, I uploaded these for her last night, and well, I guess they are kind of obscure? I don't even know anymore.

Anyway, Ruby was a mid-90s band that reminds me of Garbage, with a little a bit of PJ Harvey thrown in. I don't remember how I heard of them, possibly some arcane path from NIN and Pigface, but I still enjoy these three songs:

Salt Water Fish
Tiny Meat
Paraffin

As far as yesterday's poll goes, I deliberately didn't include remixes, which I always feel a little weird about claiming, because they have their genesis in someone else's story. Um, even more so than most fanfic, I guess. Huh. It's weird, but I definitely do draw a line there that I probably shouldn't. Possibly because in some of them, I do keep a lot of the original dialogue and such, so I didn't actually write everything in the story myself, which is different from just taking the same basic idea, or the characters/universe, and running with it.

Anyway, the stories on the list, except for one ("I am for you," which is a personal favorite), are the stories that stick in my head as getting more comments than other stories (and with the exception of last year's baseball story, none of my remixes have ever been particularly commented upon, anyway, though I love many of them dearly) -- "Arctic Radar" and "A Million Light Years from Home" are the only two stories I've ever had break 100 comments (not including other conversations going on in the comments) (I still get comments on the latter, which surprises me probably more than it should). The other criterion I used was that all of those stories listed are also favorites of mine (as well as others I didn't list because I forgot, or there wasn't room, and listing that many was egotistical enough, though I could totally list more, because I generally like my stories a lot).

So, it's interesting to see how that is playing out. You can still vote. My polls never close.

Hmm... That sounded less dirty in my head.

It's Thursday, and there is no Supernatural tonight. This makes me sad. Sigh. Otoh, new BSG on April 4. The ads have been showing up around town - the last supper photo - and I grin a little every time I see one.
