So I'm home (heat! yay!) and watching more Dark Angel on dvd (how did this show last two seasons?), and Original Cindy (who remains awesome) hooks up with Mary Winchester [!!!] in the wedding episode. This probably shouldn't amuse me as much as it does.

OMG. That's season 1, and I don't have any season 1 handy. I must rectify this!

(Mostly I just obsessed over season 2 recently, because Alec! Wait, is this your first time through? I haven't actually seen season 1 since it originally aired, hee.)

Yeah, it's my first time through, because yeah, I want to get to the Alec episodes, but I also want to know what the hell is going on.

Probably a good call. Enjoy the ride, but iirc the cheese factor is extremely high. I gave up watching during the original airing of season 2, maybe 3 or 4 episodes in. Once you're that far, I'll tell you why, heh.

Of course, I recently marathoned season 2 for the Alec factor (and then ended up writing it for Yuletide, hee!), so my love for the show is currently at a high.

Oh, it's pretty awful. I am really only half-watching it while I do other things, but I'm pretty far into the first season - disc 4 of the dvds.

I'm pretty sure the showrunners realized how badly they were doing, since between seasons 1 and 2 they revamped the show and added a decent comic actor (Jensen) and a gratuitously shirtless piece of eyecandy (also Jensen). It only helped a little.

So I've heard. There's some not-bad stuff buried in there, but god, this show totally got renewed on the basis that Jessica Alba is pretty to look at.

Yeah, it's Jessica Alba. It's from Dark Angel, the S2 episode "Fuhgeddaboutit" (or something like that, LOL). She goes undercover wearing a blonde wig. ;)

I saw Samantha Smith in the opening credits, so I was looking for her, but if you didn't know it was her, you might not recognize her. She has short blonde hair that could be a bad hair cut, or just a really bad wig.

You are very bave for ploughing through DA like this! I can't stand S1 - I only tolerate S2 because I adore Alec and Joshua - and yes there were some good ideas burried in there but the whole thing is *such* a mess on such a frequent basis. But it does have fodder for the idea of Dean-clones!

Well, I like Original Cindy and the Jam Pony people well enough. And Max is pretty to look at, and kind of endearing in a lost puppy way. It helps to be doing other things while it's on, I guess.

That's Mary Winchester! I might have to break out the Season 1 DVDs -- I've only been rewatching Season 2 for Jensen of late (which cracks me up because Season 1 is the more cohesive better written season -- it is, sorry. But Jensen makes season 2 tolerable).
