Okay, I was up early this morning, so I did a little arranging of the old iTunes library - not much, really, because I figure I will just re-sync to my dad's PC when I go out there, and hopefully that will take care of the 1300 missing songs. I did put together a favorites playlist, which is somehow over 1000 songs in itself. But that's okay. I really like shuffle and I like to have a wide range of things to surprise me. If I want something more specific, well, eventually I'll replicate my writing playlists.
The iPod, by the way, shall be known as Frank. For Sinatra. Maybe once I've got it all organized again, we can play a round of iPod oracle and see if Frank is also psychic.
This is a list of songs I don't own on CD and can tell off the top of my head are missing (i.e., they were on the iPod but at some point I deleted them off my laptop). Not a comprehensive list, and for my own reference, though if anyone wants to share, I wouldn't say no.

I did a full backup of the old iPod onto my dad's PC back when I got the new one last Christmas, but I am not sure I ever backed up the new stuff I added over the last 11 months. Because I am a moron. Let this be a lesson to you. Back up your iPod regularly, or you will end up scrambling and having to re-rip a bunch of CDs and it's just annoying and time consuming. Sigh.

I need to find myself a nice Christmas icon. I also dl'd a few new icons recently so I am thinking about what to switch in and out. I am too attached to some of the older icons I rarely use anymore. Sigh. Such a hardship.

Now I am going to run out and see if I can't procure a copy of Ocean's 13 so I can watch it and write my overview for crack_van, and then I am going to try to finish the Tyra story, so I can buckle down on yuletide without that distraction.
