see the hope in small things

The show was really good - I only knew one of the songs she sang, but she sounded great, and I am a sucker for the big standup bass and piano sound. It was all very jazzy and cool. A couple of my other cousins were actually in attendance, so we all went to the Cornelia St. Cafe for dinner afterwards.

I had an Absolut and tonic before the show and then for my two drink minimum, I had two ruby red grapefruit cosmopolitans, which were excellent and also very strong. For dinner I had some kind of breaded loin of pork with apple and pear compote and garlic mashed potatoes. And for dessert, key lime pie.

I am now very mellow and sleepy, so I shall be going to bed in a few minutes, before the headache kicks in. But first, I thought I would share a couple songs from the new Tom McRae album, "King of Cards," which comes out in April, and a couple older songs from him.

Sound of the City

Set the Story Straight

Got a Suitcase, Got Regrets -> this is my favorite off the new album. OMG CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO IT. ♥ ♥ ♥

and two older songs:
I Fall Into Your Arms

How the West Was Won
